Srikanth Bolla hit the big screen on May 10. Rajkummar Rao essays the role of the eponymous industrialist in the biopic. Jyothika and Alaya F also star in the movie. Released amid the Lok Sabha elections, the film enjoyed a free run with no major competition from any other release. 

Srikanth Bolla collections inch close to ₹50 crore 

Srikanth Bolla has been attracting audiences to housefull theatres ever since its release. The Rajkummar Rao starrer opened to a decent ₹2.25 crore and registered a positive growth in business ever since. At the end of a four-week theatrical run, the movie has raked in close to ₹50 crore in domestic collection. 

On the fourth Saturday of the theatrical run (June 1), Srikanth Bolla minted ₹1.1 crore. A decent ₹1.35 crore followed this on Sunday. This has taken the film’s business to a positive ₹44.25 crore after a 24-day theatrical run.

While Srikanth Bolla was released amid the ongoing Lok Sabha Election due to which no major movie hit the big screen. Weeks after the film, Mr and Mrs Mahi hit the big screens on May 31. The sports drama too features Rajkummar Rao in the lead role along with Janhvi Kapoor. 

Mr and Mrs Mahi concluded the first weekend with ₹16.85 crore. The movie opened to a staggering ₹6.75 crore on day 1 and was followed by ₹4.6 crore on Saturday and ₹ 5.5 crore on Sunday. The movie is expected to register a positive growth in business in the coming days.
