Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 made its theatrical debut on August 11. After a record-breaking two-week run, the film is well on its way to becoming the highest-grossing movie in India this year. Post its success, rumours of the actor hiking up his fee from Rs 8 crore to Rs 50 crore started making rounds on the internet. Recently, the actor opened up on his fee for future projects.

Sunny Deol charging Rs 50 crore per film?

In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Sunny Deol was asked about the recent reports regarding his fee for his future projects post Gadar 2 success. The actor denied the rumours of charging Rs 50 crore and added that the fee will be decided based on the movies he chooses to sign next. 

He stated, “First of all, I feel money matters are very personal. No one shares exactly what he or she earns, even to (the) close ones. Secondly, what I charge or don’t charge will be decided when I sign my next film. Right now, we are all trying to process of enormity of the success of Gadar 2.”

Sunny continued by underlining his unwavering faith in his acting skills and the fact that he avoids negotiations around his fee. He added that Gadar 2 sure helped change people’s perspective. However, he is still the same person and believes that his family is his greatest asset.

What is the plotline of Gadar 2? 

Gadar 2 is set in 1971 and Tara Singh returns to Lahore, Pakistan amid the Crush India campaign to bring back his son Charanjeet. The film is currently riding high on box office success and has broken numerous records. Since being released, Gadar 2 has surpassed the collections of Dangal, KGF 2 and Tiger Zinda Hai. Next, the film is all set to challenge Baahubali 2 and Pathaan's collections.
