Sunny Deol visits theatre after Gadar 2 opens big

Sunny Deol recently made a surprise visit to Chitra Cinema in Mumbai to meet the audience, post a show-screening. Sunny Deol's gesture was in lieu of the unprecedented response Gadar 2 has received over its mere 3-day old run in theatres. The audiences at the cinema were naturally enthralled to see Deol in front of them as they welcomed him with raucous applause.

Sunny Deol also stepped out of his car to greet his fans one more time. Deol's visit to Chitra Cinema comes after the film minted an impressive ₹134 crores within just  first three days of its theatrical release. This has made Gadar 2, Sunny Deol's highest ever grossing film in India.

Gadar 2 races past OMG 2 at box office

Gadar 2 has exceeded all expectations at the box office. The film opened at ₹40.10 crores on Friday August 11. This was followed by ₹41 crores on day 2. It raked in more than ₹50 crores on this first Sunday. There is no stopping the film. OMG 2, on the other hand, is currently inching closer to the ₹50 crore mark across its 3-day run and counting. Gadar 2 is a sequel to Gadar. It features Sunny Deol as Tara Singh, a truck driver. Ameesha Patel plays his wife. Gadar 2 opened in theatres nearly 22 years after the first part.
