Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas: Suuny Deol opens up about directing movies

Sunny Deol directed his son, Karan Deol's debut movie, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas which released on September 20, 2019. The love story also starred Saher Bamba in the lead role alongside Karan. Eventhough the movie opened to mixed reponse from viewers as well as critics, Sunny Deol’s direction received immense love and appreciation from his fans. However, in an interview recently, the Gadar actor revealed that he did not wish to be a director initially. He also opened up about the stuggles of direction and how he had a tough time in the beginning. However, through the course of time and with the help of other directors, he was insipired to work better as a director.

In a recent interview with a news daily, Sunny Deol revealed that he didn’t want to become a director initially.Talking about the struggles he faced during the direction, Sunny revealed that he was not formally trained for it, but later he just started to enjoy the process. He also compared acting with direction saying, "These skills cannot be taught, either you have it or you don’t." Talking further, the actor said how he lacked in knowledge which many senior directors have. However, he had the good fortune to be directed by some seniors and their assistants who had picked up things on the job. Sunny also appreciated some of the directors he has worked with in the past. The actor has learned a lot from his seniors and hopes that with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, he would reflect some of this knowledge.

For those who don't know, Ghayal Once Again marked the actor's directorial debut. The Damini actor has acted in and directed the film. Apart from being an actor and director, Sunny has also ventured into politics now.
