Taapsee Pannu expresses desire to reunite with Baby director Neeraj Pandey: Please mujhe..

Taapsee Pannu is currently basking in the success of her recent outing Dunki. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and hit the big screen on December 21. In a new interview, the actress expressed a wish of reuniting with Neeraj Pandey who she has worked with on projects like Naam Shabana and Baby. 

Taapsee Pannu desires to work with Neeraj Pandey 

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Taapsee Pannu was asked about her future work projects and when she will work with Neeraj Pandey again. The actress shared that she is eager to reunite with the filmmaker. She elaborated that she has been after the director to cast her in a film. 

The actress said, “I keep meeting him every now and then, asking him ‘Sir, hum abhi kuch aur karte haina.’ Log kya mai he wait kar rahi hu. Mai unko yehe bol rahi hu k ‘Sir, please mujhe kuch kaam dedo. (I keep meeting him every now and then, asking him ‘Sir, we should do something else now. Not just cinephiles, even I am waiting to work with him. I have been telling him, ‘Sir, please give me some work.’).”  

Taapsee Pannu heaps praises of Neeraj Pandey 

The actress further revealed that the director probably does not take her seriously and laughs off her request. Sharing why she is keen on working with him again, the Manmarziyaan actress recalled that Neeraj Pandey was one of the few directors who believed in her in the beginning of her career. She recalled, “Because he is one of those very few people who believed in me at the very beginning stage of my career. Like who give someone a full-fledged film with titled role with just a 7-minute role in baby? That was too good to be true kind of moment that happened with someone like Neeraj Pandey who believed that this girl who had a 7-minute role deserves to have a film for herself.” 

Taapsee Pannu shared that she keeps meeting Neeraj every now and then to make sure he does not forget her. She said, “When I have to tell them ‘Please mujhey kaam dedo’ so, I do that with a lot of other directors also but with him, I’ve been consistently after him and I’m just hoping he remembers me. I keep showing my face now and then so he doesn’t forget me.” Neeraj Pandey is known for directing films like MS Dhoni, Baby, A Wednesday, Vikram Vedha and others.
