Tanishaa Mukerji in a recent interview shared a distressing incident from the past revealing details about a severe accident during the shoot of her debut film, Sssshhh… in 2003. Recalling the incident, Tanishaa told Siddharth Kannan, “I had met with an accident during the shoot of Sshhhh… It was a bad accident. I had suffered a concussion and during that concussion, I was unconscious for a certain amount of time. I have no memory of those 3-4 days. Even today, I try to go back and visualise, but I can’t remember. It has blanked out my life.”

The accident occurred in Manali while shooting with Dino Morea, Gaurav Kapur, and their director Pavan S. Kaul. The car they were in toppled after the back tire skidded. Tanishaa fell outside the car and rolled underneath it, resulting in a concussion. She expressed, “Everyone else got fractures on their hands, but I fell outside the car and rolled underneath it. I had a concussion.”

She added, “My mom thought I had died; she was very scared. I have no memory of the accident at all.”

Despite doctors advising her to stop working due to the severity of her condition, the producers insisted she complete the film. Tanishaa shared, “Doctors told me a month after the accident that I couldn’t continue shooting, but the producers said the movie would be shelved if I didn’t shoot. It took a year for my concussion and the swelling in my brain to subside, but I completed the film.”

Following Sssshhh…, Tanishaa appeared in several films but didn't establish a strong foothold in the Hindi film industry. In 2013, she participated in the TV reality show Bigg Boss 7, where she ended up being the first runner-up.
