The first pictures of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma after their marriage are here!

Team India captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood star Anushka Sharma were married in a closely-guarded ceremony in Italy on Monday. For the first time since Republic TV's exclusive newsbreak regarding their impending nuptials, the couple has issued an official communication.

Joseph Radhik has claimed to have been the photographer citing @shaadisquad as wedding manager and Devika Narain as wedding designer. His Instagram story states:

"It was an honour to be at your wedding and we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for @shaadisquad! This past week of work has never been more fun and stressful at the same time! This wedding designed by @naraindevika and managed by @shaadisquad has been a dream come true. Thank you."

While attempts were made to keep the wedding secret, there were a number of dead give-aways over the last few days. Here are but a few.

The wedding is said to have been attended by only close friends and family. In Virat Kohli's case, even his teammates from the Indian Cricket team weren't in attendance as they're on duty in Sri Lanka.

Virat and Anushka have been dating for a few years now and are a go-to target for shutterbugs. However, in a marked departure from other couples who like to 'keep it private', #Virushka (as they're popularly known) have frequently been seen together. Anushka is often seen in the stands in Team India and IPL matches in which Kohli is playing.

Alarm bells (or wedding bells?) had started ringing a couple of months back as the pair created quite a lot of buzz after appearing as a to-be-married couple in a viral advertisement. On the other hand, in early 2016 it had seemed as though this relationship had run its course as Virat and Anushka had purportedly parted ways. 

They've come a long way from there. Congratulations to them!
