The Sabarmati Report X Review: Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna and Riddhi Dogra starrer has finally hit the theatres today, November 15. The movie which is based on the Godhra train burning incident of February 27, 2002, involving the Sabarmati Express train, stars Vikrant as a fierce journalist. As the movie is dazzling the big screens, the cinemagoers who watched the first show, flooded the social media with their reviews and everyone is hailing the film.
What's the verdict of netizens for The Sabarmati Report?
The X (formerly Twitter) is flooded with positive reviews with netizens hailing the first half and calling the second half "slight slow". However, overall all have called the movie "powerful". Trade Analyst Sumit Kadel gave 3.5 stars to the movie out of five and called the movie "well-researched". He wrote, "#TheSabarmatiReport is a powerful and well-researched film about the tragic Sabarmati train incident that led to the Gujarat riots. It reveals many shocking and untold aspects that were missed by the media back then and dives into the challenges of journalism and other social issues." Hailing Vikrant's performance in the movie, he wrote the actor, "Shines in his role with a BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE."
Another wrote, "The Sabarmati Report delivers a gripping narrative on the 2002 Godhra train tragedy. Its fast-paced storytelling exposes media cover-ups and the political agenda behind the suffering of victims."

The Sabarmati Report: What happened on the fateful morning of February 2002?
On the morning of February 27, 2002, a coach of the Sabarmati Express — Coach S6 — was set ablaze and 59 passengers travelling in that coach were charred to death. The train had arrived at Godhra station, about 125 km from Ahmedabad, Gujarat just then. The victims included 27 women and 10 children. Injuries were suffered by another 48 passengers. According to a Commission of Inquiry report, most of the 59 people killed were kar sevaks who were returning from Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.
