Karan Johar is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in the Hindi film industry. Speaking to Anupama Chopra, Karan had a lot to say about the current 'star culture' that is prevailing in the industry. He started off by telling her that she has touched," a raw nerve". Then venting out his frustrations he said, "They're all crazy with capital C. They're cuckoo I want to tell you many of them. Just because their two films do well, suddenly it's all I, me and myself."

He continued as he said, "It's really exhausting sitting in monetary discussions. It's embarrassing, it's exhausting and it's really delusional." After letting it off his chest, he also disclosed what he thinks is the major reason behind it as he said, "The one big deterrent I think is celebrity management. When talent management come unto you with their theories, you're like you're not in the business really because many of them are clueless. Few of them are very well versed and few of them are really not."

Well, the celebrity is known to not mince words, so this kind of honesty is not very surprising, but just a little unexpected. However, he also expressed his hope that up and coming superstars like Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal will make sensible monetary choices in the future and not fall into this trap that he just mentioned.

Currently, KJo is basking in the success of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer '2.0', which he had distributed all across the country. Other than this, he also launched a new digital arm of Dharma Productions called Dharmatic Entertainment which will now release fictional and non-fictional content on the digital platform. Well, it certainly looks like he has some really ambitious plans for the showbiz in the coming years.
