Tiger Shroff Extends Financial Help To Crew Member Who Alleged Non-payment By Pooja Entertainment

Amid the non-payment row, Tiger Shroff, who was recently seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan stepped in to help out a crew member who was struggling financially.

Vashu Bhagnani-led Pooja Entertainment has come under the scanner on the issue of non-payment of dues. Several cast members who worked on the banner’s last three films - Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Mission Raniganj and Ganapath Part 1 have alleged that they are yet to be paid for their work. Amid these reports, Tiger Shroff, who was recently seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan stepped in to help out a crew member who was struggling financially. 

Tiger Shroff helps a crew member who got injured and was bedridden 

Tiger Shroff has reportedly sought out to help a focus puller Ravi Kumar who was struggling to make ends meet. In 2022, The 45-year-old crew member allegedly worked on the film Mere Husband Ki Biwi, produced by Pooja Entertainment which has not yet been released. Kumar suffered an accident last year which left him bedridden for eight months. As per the former crew member, as soon as Tiger Shroff came to know about his predicament, he immediately came to help him.

Kumar told Hindustan Times, that in 1994 his brother had worked on Jackie Shroff’s film 1942: A Love Story where he fractured his arm and the veteran actor came to help him financially. Years later, he recalled his son Tiger offering to help him when the family faced another setback. He said, “Tab Jackie sir ne mere bhai ka operation karaya tha (Then Jackie sir had helped with my brother’s operation). Now, his son (Tiger) helped me. I was the focus puller on Heropanti. So he came forward to help me.” While the exact sum of the money offered by Shroff remains unknown, the publication shared that the amount was in Lakhs. 

Kumar also recalled that previously, Tiger Shroff’s mother had also helped him. He mentioned, “His mum (Ayesha Shroff) called me on Tuesday. Tiger might not remember that I worked on his debut film. But as a human being, he still came forward to help.” 

FWICE declares more than 200 crew members yet to be paid by Pooja Entertainment 

Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari on Friday said veteran film producer Vashu Bhagnani owes over Rs 65 lakh to crew members who worked on three of his films Mission Raniganj, Ganapath and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

The production house owes Rs 31.78 lakh to over 250 set workers who worked on movies like Mission Raniganj, Tiger Shroff’s Ganpath (2023), and Akshay Kumar and Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024), Tiwari added. About 200 to 250 workers, who are part of Film Studios Setting & Allied Mazdoor Union, are yet to receive payment of Rs 31,78, 327 from Pooja Entertainment, Rakesh Maurya, a union leader, claimed.
