Days of national importance tend to bring out the patriotic side in you, and two films based on similar themes unveiled their teasers a day before Republic Day. After Salman Khan’s teaser of ‘Bharat’ earlier on Friday made headlines, John Abraham also shared the teaser of ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’. Apart from being based on issues for the country, what is common between the ventures is that both are period dramas spanning many years, perhaps decades, and like the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ star, John is also seen sporting multiple looks.

The teaser of ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ starts with visual of a picture from John’s childhood with his parents. His mother talks about the time her husband took the family to watch the Republic Day parade where the child was eager to salute before his father, who is from the armed forces. What follows is a lot of bloodshed and disguises.

The wounded protagonist is seen spitting blood, or has it smeared on his face.  We see him in various avatars, sporting a clean-shaven look, stubble, moustache, various kinds of beards and hairstyles.

With visuals of John shouting, crying, running away from the policeman, played by Sikandar Kher, and firing the gun, we get a sneak-peek into his character and the emotions he goes through as well.

The movie is reportedly a spy thriller set in the ‘70s and the tagline is 'Our hero. Their spy'. Also Romeo, Akbar and Walter are not three different characters as John had described his character as 'One man, many faces.'
