Taking to social media, the actor posted a video where he can be seen brainstorming with a bunch of writers. He seems to be fed of ideas being pitched to him. While one suggests that he should play a boy from Delhi, he furiously retorts that he is tired of playing such roles. Other writers pitch ideas similar to 'AndhaDhun' and 'Badhaai Ho' which he quickly dismisses. Finally, he spots a house help asks the man if he has any ideas. To this, the help surprisingly replies that he has a script ready. An eager Ayushmann reads it and exclaims that this is it.
Then in breaking the fourth wall moment, he announces to the audiences that his next film is titled as 'Dream Girl'. The video then goes to show that Ayushmann is and as 'Dream Girl'. This, of course, will lead to a lot of curiosity to see how the actor can be a moniker that is used for veteran actress Hema Malini. Even in his caption for the video, he admits that he never thought he would play a role like this as he wrote, "Of every possible role, this one, I'd be honest, would have never crossed my mind! But here I am, to play a role in and as #DreamGirl'.
'Dream Girl' which is helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa of 'Freaky Ali' and 'Bhoomi' fame and also stars Nushrat Bharucha and also marks Ayushmann's first association with Balaji Motion Pictures.
