Why Sam Manekshaw's Daughter Told Vicky Kaushal 'Can’t Be Doing This Now' After Watching Tauba Tauba

Bollywood News: Vicky Kaushal garnered the attention of audience and movie critics after he played the role of India's first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw in Sam Bahadur. The film, which released in a 2-way clash with Animal, did decent business at the box office and many praised Vicky's portrayal of the real-life war veteran. Now, Vicky can be seen in a totally different avatar in Bad Newz.

What did Sam Manekshaw’s daughter say to Vicky Kaushal?

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Vicky Kaushal recalled an incident in which he received a message from late Army Chief Sam Manekshaw’s daughter after she watched the song Tauba Tauba from Bad Newz.

He said, “The other day, Maya, one of Sam Manekshaw’s daughters, messaged me after seeing ‘Tauba Tauba’. She was like, ‘Who is this guy?’ and I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ She replied, ‘Five months ago you made me believe you’re my father; you can’t be doing this now.’ I mean, it’s my job,” he said, laughing, “but it felt like the biggest compliment for me.”

He further added, “There’s a thing about playing an army officer and then there’s a thing about playing an army officer that the Army considers a legend. It’s a huge responsibility.”

Vicky Kaushal has some interesting projects lined up including Chhava and Love & War. He was recently seen in Bad Newz alongside Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. Produced by  Amazon Prime, Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective, the comedy film is inspired by a rare medical condition.

It revolves around heteropaternal superfecundation, a reproductive process in which twins are born to the same mother, but from different biological fathers.
