Dhanush has turned a year older today (July 28). On this special occasion, the makers of his film Captain Miller have unveiled the teaser. Helmed by Arun Matheshwaran, the flick is  set before the Independence of India. It also stars  Shiva Rajkumar, John Kokken, and Sundeep Kishan in pivotal roles.

Dhanush is a man on a mission in Captain Miller's teaser

In the film, the National Award winner plays the role of Captain Miller and sports a rugged look. The teaser opens on a battle field and features a war against the Britsh. The next frame, introduces Dhanush, who enters the battlefield with an axe. Sporting long hair and a beard, he can be seen killing the people gruesomely..

The film will mark the first collaboration between Dhanush and Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar. They will be seen having a face-off on a battlefield.

When will Captain Miller release?

The historical action-adventure drama is produced by Sendhil and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films. Also starring Priyanka Arul Mohan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, and Nassar, the film will release on December 15.

What's next for Dhanush?

Apart from Captain Miller, Dhanush has started with the filming of his second directorial film D50. It will reportedly be a gangster drama, co-starring SJ Suryah and Vishnu Vishal as parallel leads.

Another in the lineup is Aanand L Rai's Tere Ishk Mein, which he announced on the 10th anniversary of Raanjhanaa. Adding to the list is D51, which was announced on the eve of Dhanush's 40th birthday.
