Steve Burton is now officially divorced. The General Hospital actor finalised his divorce with wife Sheree. Burton and Sheree had met on the sets of show Days of our Lives before they tied the knot in 1999. The two, who had been officially married for 24 years, will be sharing joint legal and physical custody of their three children.

The news of Steve Burton's now finalised divorce was first shared by the actor's spokesperson in July of 2022. Steve filed for divorce at the Orange County Superior Court on July 7 of 2022, listing their official separation date as March 1 citing irreconcilable differences.

The official terms of the divorce include the actor paying Sheree $12,500 in child support for their two minor children - Jack and Brooklyn until April of 2024 after which the monthly support will become $10,000. The couple also share daughter Makena, their eldest, who is 20. Burton and Sheree have also agreed to give up any claim on spousal support, "now or at any time in the future, regardless of unforeseen circumstances that may exist in the future." Sheree however, will be receiving $50,000 in retroactive assistance.

Two months prior to officially filing for divorce, Steve Burton had taken to his official Instagram handle to share the news of their split. His message read, “I wanted to clear something up, Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she is expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate your privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”

Separately, Sheree recently announced in October that she is now expecting her fifth child.
