Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare wedding: Aamir Khan's daughter to have a Maharashtrian wedding?

Aamir Khan and Reena Dutt's daughter Ira Khan is all set to tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare. The two kickstarted their pre-wedding festivities a few days ago and shared a sneak peek into the celebrations a few days ago. Recently, it has been reported that the couple will be following Maharashtrian traditions for their wedding.

Will Ira Khan have a Marathi style wedding?

As per reports, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare will be tying the knot on January 3 at Bandra's plush Taj Lands End hotel. The wedding will be followed by two reception parties - one in Delhi and the other in Jaipur. The two receptions will be taking place January 6 and 10.

The report further suggested that Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare will be having a Marathi style wedding to honour the groom's side. Most of the jewellery shopping has taken place in Matunga. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the food menu will comprise an eclectic spread. While most of the actors are not in town owing to the holiday season, it has been reported that Ira Khan's wedding is going to be a star-studded affair.

Ira Khan's wedding festivites featured Maharashtrian traditions

Ira Khan shared an Instagram story showcasing the delight of guests indulging in Maharashtrian cuisine, extolling the joy of being part of such cultural traditions. The video featured Aamir Khan's ex-wife, Kiran Rao, and their son Azad Rao Khan.

In another picture shared by Ira, she radiated elegance in a red saree adorned with golden sequins, showcasing grace with minimalistic accessories. Alongside, Mithila Palkar, the Little Things actress, exuded charm in a mustard yellow ethnic ensemble, joining the festivity with enthusiasm.

During a cycling event last year, Nupur Shikhare went down on his knee with a ring in his hand and asked his lady love, "will you marry me?". Ira responded with a 'yes' and they sealed the deal with a kiss.
