Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa are returning with the third installment of their popular Jatt and Juliet franchise, this time set in Paris. Since the franchise began in 2012, Diljit and Neeru have portrayed various versions of their characters, with Diljit typically playing the bumbling fool in love with Neeru's sophisticated, city-bred woman.

In Jatt and Juliet 3, both characters are cops, with Neeru's character as the boss. Diljit’s character falls for her, but complications arise when they go to Paris, leading her to suspect him of being interested in someone else. 

The series has always been more of a comedic journey with a love-hate relationship than a straightforward romance, and this film continues that tradition, ultimately bringing the characters together.

Diljit rose to stardom after Jatt and Juliet?

The original Jatt and Juliet in 2012 marked a significant milestone in Diljit’s career, coinciding with his rise as a musician. Over the past 12 years, he has become an international star while continuing to make films in India. Recently, he received acclaim for his role in the Netflix film Amar Singh Chamkila, directed by Imtiaz Ali, considered one of the best performances of his career. He also had a cameo in Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor, which was well-received by his fans.

Neeru Bajwa, who was already a Punjabi film star when she first co-starred with Diljit, has since turned producer with the film Shayar. In 2023, she appeared in the critically acclaimed Kali Jotta. Jatt and Juliet 3 is set to release on June 27.
