Diljit Dosanjh enjoys immense fan following not just in India, but overseas as well. The singer-songwriter is currently on a USA tour. The Amar Singh Chamkila star has been performing in housefull shows across the country. The artist has received special praise from the New Jersey governor. 

New Jersey governor calls Diljit's concert’s success a big moment for ‘Punjabi community’ 

On June 1, a day after Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in New Jersey, the governor of the state took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to heap praises on the Punjabi singer. Governor Phil Murphy mentioned how the concert being sold out is a big moment for the Punjabi community. The politician had replied to the video shared by the Patola hitmaker from the concert.

Sharing the video, the Governor wrote, “Thank you, @diljitdosanjh, for bringing your tour to New Jersey with a sold-out show at @PruCenter last night. Diljit’s success in the U.S. is a big moment for the Punjabi community, including thousands of New Jerseyans who grew up dancing to his music.  Punjabi aa gaye!” The politician's comments are now doing rounds on social media. 

Diljiit Dosanjh scrips history in Vancouver 

Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has scripted history by selling out the "largest ever Punjabi show outside India" on the North American leg of his Dil-Luminati Tour. Kicking off his tour on Saturday night, Dosanjh regaled over 50,000 concertgoers at the BC Place stadium in Vancouver, Canada, with songs such as GOAT, 5 Taara, Lover, Kinni Kinni, and Ishq Mitaye, the popular track from his latest film release Amar Singh Chamkila.

On April 28, Diljit Dosanjh shared a series of pictures and videos from the show on his Instagram page on Sunday. "HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN. BC PLACE STADIUM SOLD OUT. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR," he captioned the post. In a video, the general manager of BC Place can be seen handing over a congratulatory plaque to Dosanjh for the "largest ever Punjabi show outside India". As part of his tour, Dosanjh will end the North American leg of his trek in Toronto on July 13.
