Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul welcomed their daughter on Monday, March 2025. The couple announced parenthood to the world through a joint Instagram post. Soon after the news surfaced, Rahul skipped the IPL 2025 opening match between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants to stay with his family. Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals team extended their heartfelt congratulations to the new parents in a special way.

Athiya Shetty-KL Rahul receive good wishes from Delhi Capitals

Taking to the official Instagram handle, the team released a video from the dressing room featuring Delhi Capitals’ captain and players Axar Patel, Mitchell Starc, and mentor Kevin Pietersen, among others, in their dressing room.

In a heartwarming gesture, the team celebrated the arrival of KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty’s baby girl by performing a swaying baby gesture. They also included the song Meri Duniya Tu Hi Re from the film Heyy Babyy in the video.

The team posted the video earlier in the day after their victory against the Lucknow Super Giants at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The Delhi Capitals page also posted couple photo along with a note writing, "The real arrival content we all needed. Congratulations, KL & Athiya!"

Reacting to the cutest congratulatory wish, Suniel Shetty liked the sweetest post, while Athiya Shetty responded with multicoloured heart emojis. KL Rahul expressed his gratitude, saying, "Lads, this means so much to us thanks a million." 

The couple, who tied the knot on January 23, 2023, revealed last year on social media that they are expecting their first child.
