Preity Zinta returned to the Cannes Film Festival after 17 years and walked the red carpet in a shimmery pink saree. The actress served as one of the presenters at the 77th film festival, presenting Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography in honour of Santosh Sivan. On Tuesday, the actress dropped more photos from the event that took place on May 25 at the iconic Palais de Festivals. She also penned a heartfelt note congratulating Sivan.

For the unversed, Santosh Sivan is the first Asian to be honoured with this award.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Preity shared a series of photos presenting an award to Santosh Sivan. She called him a "mad genius" and said that she is "more proud and happy for my dear friend". She started her note by writing, "It was an absolute honour to present the prestigious Pierre Angenieux Award 2024 to the first Asian, the brilliant & super talented cinematographer Santosh Sivan ASC, ICS at the Cannes Film Festival."

Sivan has been part of Preity's debut movie Dil Se and will serve as a cinematographer for her upcoming movie Lahore, 1947.

Preity Zinta walked the red carpet at the ongoing 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival for the second time. She donned a champagne-coloured saree for her second look. The ensemble was designed by Seema Gujral. Preity kept her look simple yet chic by teaming the saree with a matching blouse. She kept the outfit minimalist by donning only statement earrings for accessories. The Lahore 1947 actress kept her tresses open for the event.
