Rajinikanth birthday: Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, Mammootty, Mohanlal send wishes to Thalaivar

Rajinikanth is celebrating his 73rd birthday today, December 12, and wishes from all corners are pouring on social media. Among all is his 'dear friend' Kamal Haasan, who penned a heartfelt birthday wish and said that he hopes the superstar 'reaps success'.

Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth have been friends for the longest time now. The duo have worked together in around 21 films across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Celebrating their friendship, the duo always manages to drop a birthday wish for each other. Continuing their tradition, Kamal dropped a birthday note in Tamil which we loosely translated to, “Happy birthday to my dear friend Superstar @rajinikanth. I sincerely wish you to live a happy life reaping success today and forever.”

Dhanush, Jr NTR and other celebs send birthday wishes to Rajinikanth

Dhanush dropped a birthday note on his X that reads, "Happy birthday Thalaiva," followed by folded hands and heart emoticons. Notably, Dhanush was married to Rajinikanth's daughter, filmmaker Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth. The two decided to separate in 2022.

Mohanlal picked a still from their recently released film Jailer and wrote, "Wishing my dear Rajinikanth sir a blessed birthday! As a true embodiment of kindness and humility that inspires millions, here's to many more healthy and happy years ahead.”

Jackie Shroff, who was also part of Jailer, dropped a throwback clip on X and simply wrote,  “Happiness Always.”

Jr NTR's birthday note for the "one and only Thalaivar" read, "Wishing the one & only Thalaivar @Rajinikanth sir, a very Happy Birthday. May your charisma continue to inspire for generations."

Mammootty's birthday note for Thalaivar read, "Happy Birthday dear Rajinikanth. Wishing you a super successful year ahead. Stay healthy and blessed as always.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth has two films in the lineup - Lal Salaam and Thalaivar170.
