Sharad Kelkar reveals being broke at the time of his wedding to wife Keerti

Sharad Kelkar has had a stellar 2023 in terms of his career. The actor has seen through the release of two films and a web series. Besides this, he has also voiced the character of Raghava essayed by Prabhas in Om Raut's magnum opus Adipurush. Not just this, the actor has seven films and two television shows in various stages of development. Recalling a time when things were not looking up for him professionally, Kelkar recently shared an anecdote.

In an exclusive interview with Instant Bollywood in lieu of promoting his series Slum Golf, Sharad Kelkar opened up about how tough things were for him, financially and professionally at the time he was getting married to wife Keerti Gaekwad.

Kelkar's anecdote saw him recall how he had only just started his career as an actor when he and Keerti decided to get married. Kelkar reveals that he asked his mother to take out the muhurat for their wedding, albeit one that was a little far off as neither he nor Keerti had the funds to see through the expenses. Kelkar had signed a show around the same time and was hoping to save enough for the wedding. However, being creatively unsatisfied with the same, he quit the show with the intention to strive for work that would satiate him as an actor. Sharad and Keerti ultimately tied the knot on June 3 2005.

Sharad Kelkar has a packed lineup of projects

Sharak Kelkar has seven films and two web series lined up. Deja Vu, Ayalaan (which will mark his Tamil debut), Oh My Dog, Nayeka, Rainbow, Raanti and Sri make up the actor's lineup of films.

Among web series, Kelkar has Doctors and the Rohit Shetty helmed Indian Police Force lined up.
