Comic Con Bengaluru: What to expect and events to attend this weekend

Comic Con Bengaluru 2019 is being held at the Trade Promotion Organisation (KTPO), in Whitefield Industrial Area, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The event will commence for two days, over the weekend. Comic con is a pop-culture event that hosts brands, celebrities and comics from all across the globe.

Day 1

On day one, Bhaghya Matthews will launch the merchandise of her popular web comic Awkwerrrd. Launch of the new title- How to love mathematics and the class V robotics notebooks of J. Kokila.You can also witness the launch of the cover of RAAVANPUTR MEGHNAD by Simon and Schuster. Day one will also include the launch of the 40 Sufi comics (Volume 2), while creator Rahil Mohsin will launch is new book Catdad and Supermom. Witness creator Abhijeet Kini launches his new comic book Ek Din Ka Hero and Fun Tales of India, as well as a special dance performance by CK6.

This year’s Comic Con Bengaluru will host international guests like the famous author and illustrator of the famous comic Book of Adam, Superchill and Tiny Hats on Cats- Adam Ellis. The event will also feature Cosplay veteran Ameno Kitarou as well as artist and writer of Samurai Jack and Tank Girl Warwick Johnson-Cadwell. The event will also be graced by the presence of national sensations like comedians Sanjay Manaktala and Sundeep Rao, while ace magician, Mentalist Narpath Raman will also be a part of the weekend.

Day 2

Witness Team Bakarmax launch their latest title and the famous Corporat Comics launch some cool merchandise on day two. Day two also includes the launch of the latest volume of the Vivek Goel’s Age of the Immortals and Shaitan as well as the launch of some great net merchandise by popular web-comic Brown Paperbag by Sailesh Gopalan. A special dance performance by CK6 is an unmissable performance of the day. The most awaited quiz session by Amar Chitra Katha enables the participant to win some great prizes. Get ready to double in laugher with the stand-up sessions by Mentalist: Narpath and native star Sanjay Manaktala.
