Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast is a popular YouTuber with over 10 million followers. An IIT graduate, pilot, entrepreneur, and law student, he shares glimpses of his life with his fans through vlogs. Recently, he made headlines after sparking rumours of a divorce, leaving fans shocked. In a recent vlog, Gaurav mentioned that extramarital affairs are common among men, especially a few months after their child is born. This led to speculation about his own marriage and rumours of infidelity with his wife, Ritu Rathee.

Gaurav and Ritu: Meet the pilot couple

Gaurav Taneja is a YouTuber and fitness enthusiast, was born on July 9, 1986, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, to a prosperous family. He earned his engineering degree from IIT Kharagpur before pursuing Commercial Pilot Training in the USA.

On the other side, Ritu Rathee was born on November 20, 1990, in a middle-class family in Haryana and always aspired to become a pilot from a young age. Despite facing ridicule due to societal attitudes, her parents encouraged her ambitions. After graduating from St Stephen's College in Delhi, she also went to the USA for pilot training.

From friendship to marriage

According to reports, Gaurav Taneja met Ritu Rathee in 2011 during their quarterly pilot training session.

He was her senior and their friendship slowly blossomed into a romance, leading Gaurav to propose to Ritu in 2015. They then married on February 5, 2016.

YouTube debut and rise to fame

Gaurav was also a fitness enthusiast and already had a channel called Fit Muscletv that was gaining popularity. In 2017, he launched another YouTube channel, Flying Beast. Ritu quickly became a key figure on the channel, appearing in videos and assisting Gaurav with content creation.

Their chemistry and friendship struck a chord with viewers, helping Flying Beast become one of India’s most popular vlogging channels. Ritu also took on the role of managing his YouTube channel.

First embraced parenthood in 2018

In 2018, Gaurav Taneja and his wife, Ritu Rathee, became parents for the first time. On May 18 of that year, they celebrated the arrival of their baby girl, whom they named Kairavi and affectionately called Rasbhari.

Three years later, in October 2021, they welcomed their second daughter, Chaitravi.

From common life to beloved fame, the pilot couple grow together

The couple won several awards together, such as Best Vlogger at the 2019 Influencer Awards and Best YouTube Couple at the 2020 Indian Social Media Awards. They also had the opportunity to meet Nobel Prize winner Barack Obama. In 2020, they undertook a cycling journey of a whopping 2,400 km from Delhi to Chennai to pay tribute to cricket legend MS Dhoni . They even set a record by creating an air map of India while in the US.

Gaurav Taneja and Ritu Rathee: Separation rumours emerge in 2024

In September 2024, social media buzzed with rumours about the couple's separation. Gaurav addressed the topic in a recent vlog, stating that infidelity among men is common, often occurring a few months after a child is born. 

This sparked speculation about his loyalty in his marriage to Ritu. On Saturday, September 28, Gaurav shared a message on social media, asking everyone to end the speculation regarding his marriage and request some privacy.
