Game of Thrones, Dungeons and Dragons actor Darren Kent dies aged 36

Darren Kent was a popular actor who also appeared in a small role in the HBO series Game of Thrones. It has come to light that Kent died after experiencing severe health struggles. The news of his death was confirmed by his talent agency Carey Dodd Associates.

Darren Kent is no more, agency confirms

Darren Kent's agency released a statement on their social media handles and confirmed that the actor died on Friday. They stated, "It is with deep sadness we have to tell you that our dear friend and client Darren Kent passed away peacefully on Friday." Carey Dodd Associates further mentioned that the actor died in the presence of his best friend and parents.

They concluded their note by extending their heartfelt condolences to his family in this difficult time. "RIP my friend," they added. Meanwhile, the reason behind his death has not been disclosed yet. Kent's fans sent out their condolences to his family through social media.

Darren Kent's battle with health issues

Darren Kent was suffering from chronic health issues including osteoporosis, arthritis and a rare skin disorder. The actor was born in Essex and his first major acting role was in the film Mirrors, released back in 2008. Later, he appeared in an episode of Game of Thrones and portrayed the role of a goatherd in Slavers Bay.

He was also featured in Dungeons and Dragons as a reanimated corpse. Kent also won the best actor at the 2012 Van D'or Awards for his role as Danny in Sunny Boy. He played the character with a rare skin disease that does not allow him to go out in the sun. His additional credits include Snow White and the Huntsman, Marshal’s Law, Bloody Cuts, The Frankenstein Chronicles, Blood Drive and Birds Sorrow among others.
