Barbie star Ryan Gosling suits up in I'm Just Ken Christmas version music video | Watch

Wearing a slick, dark suit, Ryan Gosling appears to be performing I'm Just Ken in a very private setting in the music video.

Ken has been given a new life by Barbie in the successful movie, and Ryan Gosling is largely responsible for his distinct personality. The impassioned part the Canadian actor played in Barbie let him grab headlines in 2023. Thanks to his hard work, the popular song I'm Just Ken was born. Now, Gosling has brought the festive version of the song for the fans along with a new music video. 

I'm Just Ken Christmas Version video 

Wearing a slick, dark suit, Gosling steals the show in his latest song video. He appears to be performing I'm Just Ken in a very private setting, with musicians around him. This spectacular holiday homage has been produced from top to bottom, and it went live just in time for fans to join in on the Christmas song.

In addition to the Barbie version of Merry Kristmas, Ken Two additional modified versions of the song are included on the EP. The stripped-down version of I'm Just Ken (In My Feelings Acoustic) features new verses by Gosling repeating, "Ken you feel Kenergy? / Feel so real the Kenergy," over a track with a hint of '70s soft-rock flair.

Meanwhile, I'm Just Ken (Purple Disco Machine Remix) has nostalgic, dance-floor-ready rhythms that almost sound like a sister track to Dua Lipa's soundtrack contribution Dance the Night. The Ken EP was released soon after Barbie: The Album, which was nominated for several Grammy Awards and Golden Globes.

Barbie: The Album gets nods at the Golden Globes and Grammy 

The Margot Robbie-starring film leads with nine nominations at the 2024 Golden Globes, three of which are for best original song - motion picture. I’m Just Ken, Dance the Night and Billie Eilish’s What Was I Made For? all received nods in the category.

Barbie: The Album and its tunes are nominated for an incredible eleven Grammy Awards in 2024. Not only is Lipa's disco-pop hit up for two, but Eilish's melancholic ballad is up for five, including the best scoring soundtrack for visual media and the best compilation soundtrack for visual media prizes. Both songs are vying for the coveted song of the year. Barbie World, a collaboration between Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice that features a sample of Aqua's well-known song Barbie Girl, is also up for two awards, but I'm Just Ken only received one nomination.
