Brie Lasrson starrer The Marvels’ post-credit scene leaked online ahead of film’s release

After Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania, The Marvels will be the third and last MCU blockbuster of 2023. The film, which is essentially Captain Marvel 2, pairs Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) with Brie Larson's Carol Danvers and Teyonah Parris's Monica Rambeau (WandaVision).

Spoilers of The Marvels leaked online 

Marvel Studios released a final trailer of The Marvels on Tuesday that suggested the return of characters like Chris Evans' Captain America and Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man. Additionally, a mysterious new character made a brief appearance in the clip as well. It's interesting to note that spoilers and images of stolen footage appeared on social media shortly after the trailer was released and quickly went viral.

In one of these, Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson alluded to the potential arrival of the X-Men with the line "They're here." A moment later, Monica is confronted by a figure dressed in a black and white outfit that looks a lot like Halle Berry's Storm. An "X" on the screen also adds to the conjecture.

The costume might also allude to the arrival of the comic book character Binary, according to a widely accepted fan theory. However, given that Hugh Jackman is already scheduled to make a reappearance in Deadpool 3, which is purported to take place after The Marvels' events, the introduction of the X-Men would not be all that implausible.

What is the plotline of The Marvels? 

After reclaiming her identity from the despotic Kree, Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), has exacted revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. However, as a result of unforeseen events, Carol is left to bear the weight of an unstable universe. 

Her powers become entangled with those of Jersey City superfan Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol's estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), when her duties take her to an anomalous wormhole connected to a Kree revolutionary. To save the universe, these three unlikely friends will have to band together and learn how to collaborate as "The Marvels."
