American rapper and songwriter Cardi B has joined the cast of Universal's 'Fast and Furious 9' in a very confidential role after making debut in 'Hustlers'.

American rapper and songwriter Cardi B has joined the cast of Universal's Fast and Furious 9. After making her memorable movie debut in Hustlers, Cardi will make a cameo in the next installment of the Fast and Furious franchise. Vin Diesel revealed the casting on October 22 in a post on his Instagram account with a video featuring him and Cardi B on the UK set of the movie.

Cardi B is excited to come on screens

Cardi said that she is tired and can't wait and believe that she is going to come on screens. She added that she thinks it is going to be the best one. The 27-year-old rapper was wearing a black jacket matching with black gloves. Vin Diesel said that the entire cast and crew team gave their best they could for this movie. He added that they are all so blessed during the last day of filming in the UK and Cardi said that she will be taking a long nap.

Cardi B did not post anything about her new film role

Cardi B did not post anything about her new film role. The rapper was promoting her Netflix series Rhythm and Flow where she serves as a judge with T.I. and Chance The Rapper and complained about such long hours involved in making a movie. She only said that she is going to film for a movie this month which has now been revealed as Fast and Furious 9. Her involvement was revealed just one day after Latin singer/actor Ozuna signed in for a role. The other newcomers who joined Fast and Furious 9 include Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron. The movie will be helmed by Justin Lin who has directed Fast and Furious 6 and will be scripted by Daniel Casey (Kin) and Chris Morgan who had written scripts for most of the Fast & Furious movies since Tokyo Drift. The movie is expected to release on May 22, 2020.
