Devara Worldwide BO Collection: Jr NTR Starrer Is 2nd Highest Film, Beats Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Devara Part 1, starring Jr NTR, follows The Wild Robot, which minted $44 million at the opening weekend at the box office globally.
Devara Part 1, starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor concluded its first weekend on an excellent note in India. However, globally the opening weekend registered a milestone by becoming highest highest-grossing movie after The Wild Robot, per Comscore. Jr NTR's action thriller staring him in a double role opened at ₹172 crore worldwide and managed to maintain its pace over the weekend.

According to a report in Comscore, Devara Part 1 earned ₹275 crore gross in its opening weekend worldwide, putting the movie in its second spot. Devara is closely following The Wild Robot, which minted $44 million over the weekend and ahead of bigger Hollywood blockbuster movies, including Beetlejuice Beetlejuice ($29 million) and Transformers One ($25 million).

Helmed by Koratala Siva, the movie witnessed a jump of 5.50 per cent in the collection on the third day of its release. On Sunday, the movie earned approximately ₹40.3 crores at the box office with a maximum in Telugu (27.65 crores), followed by Hindi (11 crores) and Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam collectively earning ₹1.65 crores at the domestic box office. Adding the three-day collection, the movie earned ₹161 crore at the box office in the opening weekend.
The breakdown of the three-day collection shows the Telugu version leading the chart with ₹128.45 crore, followed by Hindi at ₹27.5 corer, while other languages have contributed smaller amounts. Devara Part 1 had an overall 65.35 per cent Telugu occupancy on Sunday with the maximum reported in Mahbubnagar (85 per cent).
However, the real challenge for Devara is going to be Monday as it will decide the future of the following days and first-week collection.
