Golden Globes 2024: Margot Robbie brings the iconic 1977 Superstar Barbie to the red carpet

Margot Robbie walked the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards 2024. The awards are currently underway in Beverly Hills, California. Robbie whose latest outing Barbie became the highest-grossing film in the history of cinema, brought out her character on the red carpet of the awards.
Margot Robbie paints red carpet pink
Margot Robbie showed up at the Golden Globes 2024 in a pink dazzling gown. The actress’ custom-made hot pink gown was designed by Armani. Her outfit was a replica of the historic 1977 Superstar Barbie model.
It only made sense for the actress to bring out the pink as Barbie is up for nine awards at the event. The Greta Gerwig film was nominated for Best Film, Musical or Comedy, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director, Best Cinematic and box office achievement and other categories. Margot Robbie herself was nominated for Best Musical or Comedy Actress.
Emma Stone beats Margot Robbie to win the Best Actress award
Even though Margot Robbie’s performance in Barbie was highly appreciated, the actress lost out on the award. Actress Emma Stone was honoured with the title of Best Actress – musical or comedy at the ongoing Golden Globe Awards. She was feted for her work in the science fantasy black comedy film Poor Things.
Poor Things tells the story of Bella Baxter, a young Victorian woman who, after being crudely resurrected by a scientist following her suicide, runs off with a debauched lawyer to embark on an odyssey of self-discovery and sexual liberation. Emma essayed the role of the protagonist in the film. The official X handle congratulated the actress as they wrote: “And the #GoldenGlobes award for Best Female Actor – Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy goes to.... Emma Stone in Poor Things.
