Halsey, on Tuesday, released the first song The End from her fifth album. Along with the new track, the singer shared a heartfelt post opening up about her ongoing health battle. The actress has shared a carousel photo on her social media handle offering a glimpse of how she is braving the disease.

Halsey opens up about battling a serious health issue

Taking to her Instagram handle, she shared a series of videos and photos revealing that she is seemingly struggling with Lupus. In the first video, she can be seen massaging her legs saying, "I feel like an old lady. I told myself I'm giving myself two more years to be sick. By 30 I'm having a rebirth, and I'm not gonna be sick, and I'm gonna look super hot and have lots of energy and I'm just gonna re-do my 20s in my 30s. Seriously."

She has also shared a photo of herself with a mask on during day one of treatment. In the next clip, she can be seen sitting in a dimly lit room playing acoustic guitar and recording The End. The last video shows her highs and lows while getting treated in a hospital. Sharing the post, she wrote, "Long story short, i’m Lucky to be alive. short story long, i wrote an album. It begins with The End. out now." Although she has not opened up about the health issue she has been dealing with, Halset tagged two charities supporting people suffering from Leukemia and Lupus -  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Lupus Research Alliance.

Written by Halsey and produced by the singer-songwriter, Michael Uzowuru and Alex G, The End is a gritty folk number carried by their raw vocals and acoustic guitar. She has penned her heart out while writing the song. In the song, she opened up about her ailment, "Every couple of years now, a doctor says I'm sick / Pulls out a brand new bag of tricks / And then they lay it on me / And at first, it was my brain, then a skeleton in pain / And I don't like to complain, but I'm saying sorry."
