Joe Jonas performed with brothers Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The singer paused his performance to address the audience. With him having already released a joint statement with Sophie Turner about their divorce, Jonas addressing the audience appeared to be in context of the recent accusations levied against him by Alexa Nikolas.

Joe Jonas' address to the audience saw him ask his fans to not believe anything that does not come out of his mouth. He said, "I just wanna say, look, if you don't hear it from these lips, don't believe it, okay? Thank you for the love and support. Me and my family, we love you guys."

As news of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner broke, Alexa Nikolas - a former Nickelodeon star - took to her official X (formerly Twitter) account, to share a post accusing the singer of having asked her for nudes in the past, while wearing a purity ring. Her post read, "I met Joe Jonas when we were teens and let's just say he's the guy who wore a purity ring but asked for nudes." Nikolas had later made another post clarifying how the point of her post was to highlight the "reality of misogyny".
