During a recent Q&A session at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, Priscilla Presley candidly shared her initial apprehensions about the movie while expressing her profound satisfaction with the final product. Priscilla confessed, "I was very concerned about this movie," as she recounted her fears regarding the cinematic adaptation of her life story. However, she quickly dispelled her doubts by stating, "I think it's right on, to be honest with you."

Priscilla lauds Coppola's performance

Priscilla lauded Coppola's sensitive treatment of her life story and emphasised her appreciation for Coppola's filmmaking prowess. "I love her filmmaking. I think she does a great job. She is for women, and when she approached me about doing a movie about me, I was moved by it," Presley said. Her profound gratitude for the director is evident as she asserted, "If anyone were to do a movie, it would be for her. I would never support another movie from anyone else doing it."

Priscilla Presley also highlighted the personal connection she felt with Sofia Coppola, whose father is a renowned figure in the film industry. "She has such a big heart, and her father is very famous, and she really connected with me. I have no problems with what she did in any way," Priscilla said.

Sofia Coppola's Priscilla, a 2023 American biographical drama, draws its inspiration from Priscilla Presley and Sandra Harmon's memoir, Elvis and Me, published in 1985. The film delves into Priscilla Presley's life and her enduring relationship with Elvis Presley. The world premiere of Priscilla took place on September 4, 2023, at the 80th Venice International Film Festival. Following its festival debut, A24 unveiled the movie in limited theaters across the United States on October 27, 2023, before expanding to a broader distribution on November 3.
