Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 is slated to release in July 2024. The cast has been shooting for the same in London, England. A few days ago some photos from the sets were leaked online. Now, reacting to it, Reynolds has requested media channels and social media users to not “spoil surprise” of the movies by sharing the leaked images.

Ryan Reynolds reacts to leaked pictures from Deadpool 3

Ryan Reynolds took to his Instagram Stories to write a statement on the leaked pictures from the sets of Deadpool 3. It read, “Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies. It’s important for us to shoot the new DEADPOOL film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally. Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone."

The actor further requested social media users to help them maintain the magic of the movies by refraining from sharing the leaked photos. "Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready. The film is built for audience joy — and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen. Part of the reason people post spoilers is because they’re excited. I realize these aren’t real world issues and it’s firmly in the ‘good problems’ bucket. I love making this movie,” he added.

When will Deadpool 3 release?

The SAG-AFTRA strike, which began in July, forced a production halt for Deadpool 3. Now, as the strike has concluded, Marvel Studios has resumed filming before the cast and crew go on a Thanksgiving break. The delay in Deadpool 3 has positioned it as the sole Marvel Studios film scheduled for release in late 2024, Variety reported. 

However, the decision to vacate the May release date for Deadpool 3 leaves a significant void in the summer blockbuster lineup for 2024. Traditionally a prime period for major studio releases, the first weekend of May has been a stronghold for Marvel titles.
