Jailer box office collection Day 14: Rajinikanth film sees massive dip on 2nd Wednesday

After a thunderous debut week, Rajinikanth starrer Jailer's momentum started to wane in its second week. Despite a promising first weekend performance, the film's footfall dwindled to single digits from the second Monday onwards. The film amassed an impressive ₹235.85 crore during its initial week, but faced a significant drop, generating a little over ₹60 crore in the second week. On Wednesday, the film recorded its lowest-ever collection at the domestic box office.

Jailer witnesses massive dip in collection

 As per the early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk.com, Jailer managed to garner ₹3.78 crore on its second Wednesday, taking the total to ₹295.78 crore nett. In terms of occupancy, the Tamil and Telugu-speaking markets recorded 19.71% and 19.64% respectively. Wednesday's night time screenings drew the most viewers, followed by evening, afternoon, and morning shows, as per the website.

Jailer continues to rule global box office

As per early estimates, the film's global box office collection stands at ₹574.98 crore. Recently, trade analyst Ramesh Bala shared a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) stating that Jailer, in a span of 13 days, collected a worldwide box office collection of around ₹566 crore. Bala mentioned that he expects the lifetime collection of Jailer to touch Rs 600 crore.

Jailer v/s Gadar 2 and OMG 2

Jailer, which released a day before Gadar 2 and OMG 2, has collected ₹295.78 crore India nett so far. Meanwhile, Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 breached the ₹400 crore mark in just 12 days of its release. OMG 2, which was granted an A certificate by the CBFC, has collected ₹120 crore nett.
