'Bigg Boss Kannada Took Away...': Kichcha Sudeep Recalls 'Helplessness' During Mom's Final Moments
Kichcha Sudeep took to social media to pen a note on the passing of his mother. The actor recalled shooting for Bigg Boss when her health deteriorated.
Kichcha Sudeep has issued a statement on the passing away of his mother - Saroja Sanjeev. The 83-year-old breathed her last in a private hospital in Bengaluru on October 20. The actor, who has often spoken fondly of his mother, took his X (formerly Twitter) account to note how ‘everything changed’ in 24 hours.

On October 21, Kichcha Sudeep took to his social media account to recount the events that transpired before the death of his mother. Remembering his mother, the actor wrote, “My mother , the most unbiased, loving, forgiving, caring, and giving, in my life was valued , celebrated, and will always be cherished. *Valued... because she was my true god next to me in the form of a human. *Celeberated... because she was my festival. My teacher. My true wellwisher. And my 1st fan. Loved the worst of my work as well. *Cherished.... because she is just a beautiful memory now.”
He then mentioned how he has not been able to come to terms with the loss that the family faced in the last 24 hours. He remembered getting a text message from his mother and not having replied to it. The actor wrote, "Every morning, the 1st buzz on my phone would be here text, aound 5.30am Wishing me, “Good morning kanda,,,,”. I received her last txt on Friday, 18th October. I didn't see her text the next day when i woke up while at BB. 1st time in so many years. I did send her my morning txt and wanted to cal and enquire if everything was OK. Discussions of BB's Saturday episode took away all time, and just before I went onto the stage, I got a cal saying she was hospitalized. I immediately called my sister who was at th hospital, spoke to th doctors and went on to the stage. A little later, when I was on stage, a message was passed on to my people that she was critical."
Kichcha Sudeep then mentioned that he was able to stand on stage and host Bigg Boss episodes because of the principles his mother passed on to him. He then recalled rushing to the hospital to see his mother as soon as he wrapped up the Saturday shoot of Bigg Boss Kannada.

In his note, Kichcha Sudeep recalled rushing to the hospital but not being able to meet his mother. He wrote, “I rushed to the hospital after the Saturday's episode shoot, and my mother was put on to a ventilator minutes before I reached. I couldn't see my mother while she was still conscious. She did put up a fight before she gave in on Sunday early morning. Everything,,,,, just about everything changed in just a few hours. ”
The emotional actor added, “I don't know how to undo this. I don't know how to accept this reality, that has hit us. My mother, the one who gave such a tight hug before I left for the shoot, was no more within the next few hours. It's a hard-hitting truth that will take its own time to penetrate into our minds and hearts. My mother was a great soul, and I will miss her. I for sure know yesterday, being an auspicious day was nature's and God's choice to take her from this earth.”
He expressed gratitude for friends and well-wishers who supported his family in the time of grief. He continued the note by writing, “My mother ,,, the most precious pearl of my life is gone. I'm sure she has reached a place filled with peace.”
