Chef Chidambara marks actor Aniruddha Jatkar’s return to the big screen. Directed by M. Anand Raj, this dark comedy is set to hit theaters on June 14. The team recently unveiled a trailer that has stirred excitement, following the buzz generated on social media about the film’s plot.

Chef Chidambara's trailer hints at a dark storyline

Aniruddha Jatkar plays the titular character, Chef Chidambara, who operates a cloud kitchen from his apartment. Rachel David portrays his love interest, while Nidhi Subbaiah plays a neighbor entangled in the storyline, which centers around the disposal of a dead body. Sharath Lohithashwa appears as a suspicious cop determined to uncover the truth.

Director Anand Raj shared during a media interaction that the film was completed in just over a month, including dialogue scenes, two songs, and three action sequences. He described Chef Chidambara as a crime thriller infused with dark humor, promising an engaging narrative about whether Chidambara is the mastermind behind the crime or an innocent caught in a predicament.

Nidhi Subbaiah spoke about her role during a media interaction, noting that it was a departure from her usual "bubbly, girl-next-door" characters, offering her a refreshing challenge. She mentioned that audiences would be surprised to see her in such a different role, which could provide a shock value or a pleasant surprise.

The cast also includes Shivamani, KS Sridhar, Raghu Ramanakoppa, Kari Subbu, Mahantesh, and Shwetha. Ritwik Muralidhar composed the music for the film. Chef Chidambara will be released in Karnataka by KRG Studios, which is also presenting Daali Dhananjaya’s Kotee on the same day.
