Puneeth Rajkumar Death Anniversary: Appu's Wife Ashwini Remembers 'Guiding Spirit' In Emotional Note

Puneeth Rajkumar remains one of the most celebrated stars in the Kannada film industry even after his untimely passing. On his third death anniversary netizens across the country remembered the actor and tributes poured in for him. His wife Ashwini penned a heartfelt note for her late husband.

Ashwini took to X to share a picture and note on his third death anniversary. Along with the picture, the caption read, “Fondly remembering Apps on the 3rd year”. Ashwini also penned a note, “Appu lives in our memories and action, every day of our lives and is the guiding spirit who is forever in our hearts”.

Puneeth Rajkumar’s rise to stardom in Kannada cinema

Puneeth Rajkumar’s acting career at a very young age and won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu. In 2002, he made his debut as lead actor in the movie Appu and since then, he has been known as Appu by his fans.

The actor gave several memorable and hit movies to Kannada cinema, including Abhi, Veera Kannadiga, Maurya, Arasu, Jackie, Hudugaru, Rana Vikrama and Raajakumara. He was enjoying his success of his career and working on his next project when on October 29, 2021, the actor complained of his uneasiness and died on his way to a hospital in Bengaluru. He passed away at the age of 46.
