BTS' Jungkook becomes the first Korean soloist to remain on Billboard charts for 5 consecutive weeks

BTS is one of the most popular Korean boy bands and often makes sure to swoon their fans across the globe. Formed in 2010, the band consists of pop stars Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook. Where each one of them is busy achieving feathers in their cap, Jungkook’s success is being hailed the most.

Despite being busy with military enlistment, Jungkook remains prevalent on musical charts

Due to his back-to-back success on the coveted chart, Jungkook’s fans have popularised him by the nickname ‘Billboard singer’. For those who don’t know, Jungkook even surpassed popular pop queen Taylor Swift in weekly charts.

For the unversed, he made his debut at No. 2 in November. Interestingly, Jungkook is the first Korean solo artist who is continuing to stay in the Top 40 for five consecutive weeks of the Billboard 200. Additionally, he is the first K-pop soloist to stand at the No. 16 for 17 weeks on the Billboard Artist 100.

Jungkook talking about his military training

During one of his Instagram live, Jungkook said, “1.5 years is pretty short. If you guys just keep doing as you're doing right now, it'll be fine. We have prepared a lot of things for you. I was actually working on something but I only managed to finish half of it. I also ended up cutting my hair pretty quickly so I kind of regretted it but yeah.. just wait for like a year and a half when I come back okay? Ah I gave a big spoiler, didn't I?"
