When an exciting, new series is announced, K-Drama fans eagerly add it to their watch lists without thinking twice. Unfortunately, some much anticipated series fell flat for viewers who expected them to be good, released this year. Here are some of the latest released k-dramas that made fans regret to watch.

When the Stars Gossip

This Netflix science fiction series, featuring Lee Min Ho, Gong Hyo Jin, Oh Jung Se, and others, might be the most disliked K-Drama of 2025 so far. It starts with a fateful meeting between an astronaut and a space tourist on a space station, leading to a love story that many viewers repent of watching.

This romantic Netflix series features Choi Woo Shik and Park Bo Young. It tells the story of two movie lovers who connect through their shared passion and fall in love, but one mysteriously vanishes. Years later, they meet again, now as a filmmaker and a film critic. The film got decent reviews, but many feel it is a little exaggerating than needed.

My Dearest Nemesis

The series follows the leader of a department store's planning team, who discovers her new boss is her first love. They first met 16 years ago while playing an online game, where she turned down his confession. At the start of the show, fans were excited, however, soon after a few episodes the viewership dropped.

The series follows a mysterious woman, often labelled a witch since her school days, who now works as a translator. Despite her beauty and mysterious allure, she has lived an isolated life. However, many Reddit users found the storyline dull and uninteresting.

Buried Hearts

Buried Hearts is a mystery thriller about a corporate secretary uncovering a slush fund through hacking. A viewer who gave up on the series shared that they had expected “a serious political crime drama thriller.” However, they found it to be a melodrama with a “predictable twist,” which led them to stop watching after the first episode.

Family by Choice

Gangnam B-Side

This Disney+ crime K-Drama follows a demoted detective, a criminal, and a prosecutor, each driven by their own motives to solve the mystery of multiple disappearances in Gangnam. The series begins with a gritty tone, but unfortunately, netizens largely disliked it, finding little hope or redemption in the storyline.
