NASA selects 3 BTS songs for 2024's Lunar voyage, RM's single Moonchild earns a spot

Korean boyband BTS continues making a global impact. In a new turn of events, NASA has selected their three songs for its lunar mission of 2024.

The globally renowned K-pop boy band BTS who is currently on a break continues to make headlines. In a new turn of events, the United States space agency NASA has chosen not one but three BTS songs for their upcoming lunar mission playlist. This development comes at a time when some members, including RM, are temporarily away from the music scene due to mandatory military service.

Which BTS songs have been selected by NASA?

The selected songs for NASA's Moon Tunes Playlist continue to highlight BTS' global impact. RM who is also known as Kim Nam-joon has taken the spotlight as his solo track Moonchild earns a place in this exclusive list. In addition to RM's solo achievement, two other space-themed BTS tracks, Mikrokosmos and 134340, will feature in the cosmic playlist.

BTS fans react to this big feat

Fans of RM and BTS swiftly took to social media and expressed their joy and pride. RM's solo track, Moonchild has been directed by Yong Seok Choi (Lumpens) under the assistance of Guzza, HyeJeong Park and MinJe Jeong (Lumpens). Hyunwoo Nam(GDW) was responsible for the Director of Photography with a composition of Joonki Min @ Sunshine Underground. Under the label of BigHit Entertainment, Moonchild roped in E Hyun Joon as the construction manager.
