The Korean wave has reached Madame Tussauds, with the famous wax museum in Hong Kong unveiling its first-ever wax statue of Korean star Yim Siwan. To align with global trends and boost local tourism, the museum revealed Siwan's wax figure at Korea’s ENA Suite Hotel on June 5. The statue bears a striking resemblance to the actor, who attended the event and posed next to his wax counterpart.

Images of Yim Siwan with his wax figure have flooded the internet. Notably, Siwan wore the same white and black outfit as his statue for the unveiling. In another video from the event, the actor is seen revealing the statue to the media amid loud applause, posing for photos, and even taking selfies with the figure.

In March, Yim Siwan announced his collaboration with Madame Tussauds and shared images from the sitting session where he was measured for the statue.

Yim Siwan, also known as Im Siwan, started his career as a member of the boy band ZE:A before moving into acting. He made his acting debut in the 2012 drama The Moon Embracing the Sun and has since appeared in popular K-dramas such as Misaeng: Incomplete Life, The King In Love, Strangers From Hell, Run On, Summer Strike, and Boyhood. He is also set to join the cast of Netflix’s Squid Game Season 2.
