Amid the ongoing theatrical success of his film Manjummel Boys, director Chidambaram met with veteran actor Kamal Haasan along with his team.

Manjummel Boys' director Chidambaram recently expressed his desire for closure by having legendary actor Kamal Haasan watch and review his movie. Now, Kamal Haasan has graciously joined the Manjummel Boys team for a special screening to appreciate their efforts.

Taking to Instagram on February 28, Director Chidambaram shared a photo alongside Kamal Haasan, captioning it, "Final climax for our Manjummel Boys. Always grateful @ikamalhaasan."

Meanwhile, actor Ganapathi, brother of the director, also shared a photo with Kamal Haasan and Santhana Bharathi, thanking them for their support. "What a day with the Legend @ikamalhaasan! Best closure for Manjummel boys. Thank you Santhana Bharathi sir for coming," he expressed.
The photo featured several actors and crew members, including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Lal Jr., Deepak Parambol, and others, alongside music director Sushin Shyam and art director Ajayan Chalissery.

What more do we know about Manjummel Boys?
Released on February 22, Manjummel Boys draws inspiration from Kamal Haasan's 1991 film Gunaa, sharing the same cave setting. The film depicts a tragic accident inside the cave and the subsequent efforts of friends to escape. Based on a true incident, the movie has received praise from both fans and critics alike.

Director Chidambaram who is a self-proclaimed fan of Kamal Haasan had earlier expressed his wish to showcase the film to the legendary actor and the team behind Gunaa. He had conveyed his admiration for Haasan's versatile talent and was eagerly anticipating his reaction to the Manjummel Boys.

In an interview with The Cue, Chidambaram revealed that the film's trailer had been sent to Kamal Haasan and the Gunaa crew. He expressed, "I am a hardcore Kamal Haasan fan. He is not just an actor, he is a full filmmaker. He is a brilliant director. His films Virumaandi and many others have influenced me a lot. I really wish I would be able to see Kamal sir in real, through my movie 'Manjummel Boys' at least."
