Malayalam film actor Asif Ali encountered an unforeseen mishap while filming a fight sequence for the movie Tiki Taka, directed by Rohit in Kochi. The incident, occurring on November 23, resulted in a knee injury for the actor, prompting his hospitalisation and subsequent treatment. Asif Ali underwent a left knee ligament and meniscal repair due to the on-set accident. Following the necessary medical procedures, the actor was discharged from the hospital on November 30.

What happened to Asif Ali?

The actor suffered a knee injury while undergoing stunt training for the film helmed by director Rohith VS. On Friday, the actor re-shared the director's post on his Instagram handle hinting at shelving the film until he gets better. The post read, "Something really unfortunate happened last day while training for our first action set piece. Asif Ali had a severe ACL injury and has been adviced for a 3 months rest post surgery."

Medical experts have assured a complete recovery for Asif Ali, indicating that a period of rest and a course of physiotherapy will aid in his healing process.
