Mohanlal's L2 Empuraan Advance Booking Touches ₹10 Crore Mark In India With 4 Days Still To Go For Release

L2 Empuraan Advance Booking: Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer L2: Empuraan has stoked major fan anticipation before its March 27 release. The pan-India film has managed to score great advance bookings and has already become the biggest Mollywood day 1 grosser based on its pre-sales only. There are still four days to go for the film's grand release, and all eyes are on how much the movie's opening day collection will be.

L2: Empuraan has quickly inched closer to the ₹10 crore advance booking mark. The advance sales of the film began on March 21 and so far, the collections for day one are headed towards over ₹20 crore mark, making it the biggest opener of not just Mohanlal's career but a record for the Malayalam film industry. According to trade experts, the collections of the film will be more than Manjummel Boys as the Mohanlal starrer Lucifer sequel eyes the crown of the highest-grossing Mollywood title.  

In Kerala, the movie has sold over 5 lakh tickets with collections amounting to over ₹8 crore. The IMAX version of the film has also contributed nearly ₹20 lakh to its biz in Malayalam so far. The total collection in all languages stands at ₹8.65 crore and ₹9.88 crore with blocked seats.

L2: Empuraan is a sequel to 2019's release Lucifer, which starred Mohanlal in the role of Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi-Ab'raam, a mysterious politician-don. Mohanlal has worked under Prithviraj Sukumaran's direction on Lucifer, Bro Daddy, and his upcoming L2: Empuraan. Produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas, the film will be out in cinemas on March 27 in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Actors Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier and Indrajith Sukumaran will also reprise their roles in the upcoming movie.
