Neru box office collection: Mohanlal starrer continues its steady run, nears ₹75 crore mark globally

Mohanlal starrer Neru, which released on December 21, continues to have a steady run at the box office. The courtroom drama collected ₹1.77 crore on January 2, taking its nett domestic figures to ₹36.87 crore.
Neru had collected ₹23.8 in its extended first week
The film, which opened with a figure of ₹2.8 crore on day 1, managed steady collections in the coming days. Infact, the film showed a huge jump in its collections from Monday, December 25 onwards. Garnering ₹3.55 crore on its first weekday, the film sustained a decent hold in the following days and collected a total of ₹23.8 crore nett in its extended first week.
Made on an estimated budget of ₹12 crore, Neru crossed the ₹50 crore mark at worldwide box office on December 9. Currently, the film’s global box office figures stand at ₹69.03 crore, as per report by box office tracker Sacnilk.com.

Neru is also one of the rare Malayalam films whose overseas box office figures stand very well in comparison to its domestic figures. Out of the worldwide collections of 69 crores, ₹27.5 crore come from its overseas markets, which amounts to nearly 40% of the film’s total figures.

Earlier on December 30, the film’s lead Mohanlal took to his social media page to pen a gratitude note as the film crossed ₹50 crore mark worldwide. “Heartfelt thanks to audiences everywhere for the love, and kudos to the entire crew!,” the veteran actor wrote on his X page (formerly Twitter).
