Neru crosses 50 crore mark within its second week, Mohanlal expresses gratitude

Mohanlal is ending 2023 on a high note with huge success at the box office with his recent release, Neru, helmed by Jeethu Joseph. The courtroom drama has proven to be successful not only at the Kerala box office but also at a global level. The film has crossed the Rs 50 crore milestone as it enters its second week of running. Mohanlal also expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the box office triumph.

Mohanlal’s Neru crosses Rs 50 crore mark

On December 29, Mohanlal shared a gratitude post on X (formerly known as Twitter) with Neru’s poster, which reads,”50 crore wordwide gross box office triumph.” In the tweet, the actor wrote, “#Neru crosses 50 crores at the box office worldwide! Heartfelt thanks to audiences everywhere for the love, and kudos to the entire crew!”
 

According to the entertainment industry tracker Sacnilk, the film on Day 9 racked Rs 21 crore overseas while it grossed Rs 31.40 crore in the domestic box office. The tally reaches Rs 52.40 crore in worldwide collections. On Day 9, it witnessed an overall Malaylam occupancy of 40.90 percent. As per the latest trends, the film is expected to earn Rs 63 lakh on its second Saturday, which will take the domestic net tally to Rs 27.19 crore. The film was initially released on 200 screens but has been increased to around 350 screens due to its soaring popularity.
