Tovino Thomas begins shooting for his upcoming action thriller Identity

Tovino Thomas has a packed schedule with several projects in various stages of production. His upcoming venture, Identity, casts him in the lead role, reuniting him with the directorial duo Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, known for their work on the thriller Forensic (2020). Despite being in production for some time, Tovino recently made his official entry onto the sets and shared an update on his social media handle.

Sharing the news through a video, Tovino expressed his excitement, stating, "Joining the sets of #IDENTITY after 'Forensic.' Reconnecting with old friends and making new ones! Ready... Set... GO!"

Joining Tovino in the film's cast is Trisha Krishnan, portraying the female lead. The ensemble also includes Mandira Bedi, Vinay Rai, Shammy Thilakan, Aju Varghese, Arjun Radhakrishnan, and Archana Kavi. Set against an expansive backdrop, this thrilling narrative will unfold across diverse locations such as Rajasthan, Coimbatore, Kochi, Mumbai, and Kashmir.

Identity is a collaborative effort between Century Films and Ragam Movies, set for a multilingual release. Akhil George serves as the cinematographer, capturing the film's essence, while action sequences are crafted by accomplished stunt choreographers from various industries. The film is slated for a release in the latter half of 2024.

The psychological thriller Adrishya Jalakangal, starring Tovino Thomas, is all set to make its way to the digital platform following its theatrical success. The film, revolving around a young man's unsettling experiences after leaving a mental asylum, is slated for release on Netflix on December 8, 2023. Directed by Dr. Biju, the movie had its premiere at the 27th Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival (TBNIFF).

Adrishya Jalakangal follows the journey of a young man who returns to his former residence after leaving a mental institution. Taking up a part-time job as a night watchman at a morgue, he encounters inexplicable occurrences, leading to a chilling turn of events that unravel the deeper layers of the narrative.

Apart from Tovino Thomas in the lead role, the film features Nimisha Sajayan and Indrans in pivotal roles, adding depth and intrigue to the storyline.
