Sunday is here and so is our list of movies that are scheduled to hit the theatres this week. From action-thriller Raayan and Maharaja to biographical drama Chandu Champion, theatres have lined up some amazing movies this week. Check out the list below:

Raayan

Directed by Dhanush, the action thriller stars him in the pivotal role leading an ensemble cast that includes S. J. Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Saravanan. The movie is touted to revolve around Dhanush's character whose family is murdered. He trains himself to avenge their deaths. Seeking those responsible, his quest leads him through the criminal underworld. Raayan is scheduled to release worldwide on June 13 in theatres.

Chandu Champion

Biographical sports drama, directed by Kabir Khan, stars Kartik Aaryan in a titular role. He will be seen essaying the role of  India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. Chandu Champion is scheduled to release on June 14.

Inside Out 2

Disney and Pixar's Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who've long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren't sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she's not alone. The animated movie is slated to hit the theatres on June 14.

Harom Hara

An action thriller is directed by Gnanasagar Dwaraka. The movie stars Sudheer Babu in the lead role. The music was composed by Chaitan Bharadwaj, the cinematography was done by Aravind Viswanathan and it was edited by Raviteja Girijala. the movie will hit the theatres on June 14.

Maharaja

An action drama directed by Nithilan Saminathan, stars Vijay Sethupathi in the titular role, alongside Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas and Natarajan Subramaniam, among others. The movie revolves around a barber who seeks vengeance after his home is burglarised, cryptically telling police his "lakshmi" has been taken, leaving them uncertain if it's a person or object. His quest to recover the elusive "lakshmi" unfolds. The movie will hit the theatres on June 14.

Kudi Haryane Val Di

Starring Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa, it follows a Punjabi man uninterested in wrestling but falls for a Haryanvi woman passionate about the sport. He strives to embrace her love for wrestling, to win her heart.
