Bradley Cooper takes on the challenging role of Leonard Bernstein. Joining him is Carey Mulligan, who portrays Felicia Montealegre, Bernstein's wife and lover. The star cast also includes Matt Boomer, Maya Hawke, and Sarah Silverman.

Bradley Cooper says he spent 6 years on Maestro

In an interview with Variety, Bradley Cooper revealed the arduous journey behind Maestro. The film took a staggering six years to complete, from the inception of the idea in 2017 to its wrap-up in 2023. Cooper, in conversation with longtime friend Emma Stone, shared insights into the challenges, backstories, and rehearsal anecdotes that shaped the film. He said, “But I knew that if “Maestro” was going to mess up, it was all on me. I was not beholden to anybody else. There was a freedom in that, as well as a huge burden.”
